This Privacy Policy explains how Aravir Technologies Private Limited ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the Our Cadre platform and mobile application (the "Service"), handles your personal information. By using the Service you agree to the practices described here.

Who controls your data. Our Cadre is a platform used by political leaders and their organisations ("Organisations") to manage their cadre. When you use the app as a member of an Organisation, that Organisation is a joint controller of your data alongside us. We process data on their behalf and under this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Account details — your name, mobile number, and (optionally) email address, used to create and secure your account.
  • Profile information — profile photo, gender, date of birth, address, geographic assignment (mandal / panchayat / village), and role within your Organisation.
  • Content you create — issues you report, activities, comments, event RSVPs, and any media (photos, documents) you attach.

Facial-recognition data (sensitive)

To help Organisations verify member identity at events and outreach, the Service can process a facial template derived from your profile photo. This template is generated and matched using Amazon Rekognition and is used solely for identity verification within your Organisation. We do not sell, share, or use this data for advertising. You can remove it at any time by deleting your account or your profile photo (see Delete Account).

Information collected automatically

  • Device & push tokens — device type, OS version, and a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token used to deliver notifications.
  • Usage & diagnostics — app interactions and error logs used to keep the Service reliable and secure.
  • Approximate location — only when a feature you use (such as tagging an issue) requires it, and with your permission.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To create your account, authenticate you, and secure your session (including one-time passwords and trusted-device checks).
  • To provide the Service's features — cadre management, issue tracking, events, updates, broadcasts, and identity verification.
  • To send you notifications relevant to your role (approvals, updates, event reminders).
  • To maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.

3. Third-Party Services

We rely on a small number of trusted processors, each bound to protect your data:

  • Google Firebase — push notifications (Cloud Messaging).
  • Amazon Web Services (Rekognition) — facial-template generation and matching for identity verification.
  • LiveKit — real-time video for live broadcasts, when used by your Organisation.
  • Cloud hosting — secure storage and delivery of the Service.

4. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only: (a) within your Organisation, with authorised administrators, as needed to operate the cadre; (b) with the processors listed above; and (c) where required by law or to protect rights and safety.

5. Data Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where a longer period is required by law or for legitimate security and audit purposes.

6. Security

We protect your data with encryption in transit, hashed credentials and one-time passwords, device-bound sessions, tenant isolation, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.

7. Your Rights & Choices

  • Access & correction — view and update your profile in the app, or contact us.
  • Deletion — request full account and data deletion at any time. See Delete Account.
  • Notifications — manage or disable push notifications from your device settings.

8. Children

The Service is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised "Last updated" date.
